Music arranger Angela Morley, who won Emmys for arranging two of Julie Andrews television specials has died at 84 in Scottsdale, Arizona. She's said to have passed away from complications of a fall and a subsequent heart attack. The three-time Emmy winner, also received Oscar nominations for adaptaing the songs in the musicals 'The Little Prince' and 'The Slipper and the Rose' This prolific woman also wrote her own official bio for her web site, which we reprint below. The Chicago Jazz Orchestra took on a big challenge - honoring the work of the late, great Ella Fitzgerald and they met it with imagination, class, great music and sass. The sultry, young big band front-woman Tamela D'Amico, who is based in Los Angeles, brings a 7-piece combo to her hometown New York to celebrate the recent release of her debut recording, 'The Tamela D'Amico Album.' In what will be her New York City debut, D'Amico holds court at the Metropolitan Room, for four exclusive performances, Saturday February 2, and Thursday to Saturday February 7, 8, 9. All shows are at 10pm.
