On Friday, March 16th, Mike Faist (Tony Award nominee and Grammy Award winner from Dear Evan Hansen and Columbus native), Ohio Artists Gathering, partnered with Short North Stage for an event titled "Rapid Transit". A fundraiser and awareness event for the upcoming one week festival in the summer of 2018 to bring together New York City professional playwrights, producers, directors, chorographers and actors with young Ohio theatre students, artists and creatives. ?Ohio Artists Gathering, under the direction of Tony Award nominee and Grammy Award winner and Columbus native Mike Faist, (Dear Evan Hansen) will partner with Short North Stage on Friday, March 16th, from 8:00-10:30 PM, for an awareness building and development event titled 'Rapid Transit,' introducing Ohio natives working on Broadway and beyond, and featuring a performance by Public. A special pre-event reception will be held from 7:00-8:00 for donors and sponsors to meet Mr. Faist and other OAG artists. Broadway leading man and fellow Ohio native Corey Cott will make a special guest appearance.

He will be found! BroadwayWorld has a first look at Dear Evan Hansen's new Evan, Taylor Trensch, who made a surprise debut in Dear Evan Hansen last night. He'll perform as 'Evan Hansen' on 1/31 at 8 PM, 2/1 at 7 PM and 2/3 at 2 PM. Noah Galvin will perform all other shows this week. Noah's final performance is Sunday, 2/4 and Taylor's first 'official' performance is Tuesday, 2/6.

Today, the Recording Academy announced that Dear Evan Hansen has won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. The original cast album for Dear Evan Hansen is produced by Alex Lacamoire, Stacey Mindich, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are the composers/lyricists. Ben Platt is the principal soloist.
