Leeds Playhouse has announced announce that Shawab Iqbal is joining the Playhouse as its new Executive Director working closely with Chief Executive and Artistic Director James Brining. Shawab, who is currently Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer at Gate Theatre London, will begin his new role in October.

The Lowry Centre for Advanced Training in Dance (CAT) has announced the dates for its next two open days on May 7th at Newbiggin Hall in Cumbria and May 8th at the Lowry in Salford - ahead of the live audition day on 29th May for entry on to the acclaimed CAT dance scheme.

Wise Children today announce that Liam Tamne joins the company as Heathcliff for the world première production of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights on 15 March, completing the run at the National ahead of the UK tour. Adapted and directed by Emma Rice, the show is a co-production with the National Theatre, Bristol Old Vic and York Theatre Royal.

Louis Gaunt will join the cast of Mary Poppins from 22 June 2022 to play the iconic role of Bert, replacing Charlie Stemp whilst he performs as Bobby in the Chichester Festival Theatre production of Crazy for You this summer. 

The renowned dance company Ballet Central will return to touring this spring with a four-month programme visiting 11 mid-sized theatres across England. 

After a couple of years of staying at home and catching up on all the boxsets and films you never got round to watching, it appears the West End has had a similar idea; Saturday Night Fever is the latest movie-based musical to hit the stage, joining the likes of Dirty Dancing, Back to the Future, Pretty Woman, and Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Following a short tour, the Bee Gees & John Travolta classic hits the West End for a limited run.

Bonnie & Clyde will soon raise a little hell in London. Frances Mayli McCann and Jordan Luke Gage will star as the titular Bonnie and Clyde in the West End premiere of the cult-sensation BONNIE AND CLYDE THE MUSICAL, opening at the Arts Theatre from Saturday 9 April 2022.
