Performances begin tonight for the Manhattan Theatre Club's production of The Collaboration. Warhol. Basquiat. Electric, eccentric, polar opposites... together, for the first time in the most unlikely partnership the art world has ever seen. 

Manhattan Theatre Club’s New York premiere of Where the Mountain Meets the Sea, written by AUDELCO Award nominee Jeff Augustin is in its final week of performances at New York City Center – Stage I. The production opened on Wednesday, November 2, and will conclude as scheduled this Sunday, November 27.

Tony Award & Emmy Award Nominee Jessica Hecht will join Tony Award & Academy Award nominee Laura Linney in Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Summer, 1976 written by Pulitzer Prize winner David Auburn and directed by Tony winner Daniel Sullivan.

Manhattan Theatre Club's New York premiere of Where the Mountain Meets the Sea, written by AUDELCO Award nominee Jeff Augustin  and directed by Princess Grace Award winner Joshua Kahan Brody, with music by The Bengsons, opens tonight at New York City Center – Stage I.

Manhattan Theatre Club will present its Winter Benefit on Monday, January 23 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom (141 W. 54th Street). The festive evening will feature a cocktail reception, an elegant dinner, and an exclusive, one-night-only performance by Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kelli O'Hara, accompanied by Dan Lipton.

Manhattan Theatre Club’s Broadway premiere of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Cost of Living is in its final two weeks of performances. Written by Martyna Majok (Sanctuary City, Ironbound) and directed by Obie Award winner Jo Bonney, the production will end its extended run at MTC’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on Sunday, November 6.

The full Broadway cast has been announced for the American premiere of The Collaboration, written by Anthony McCarten (The Two Popes, Bohemian Rhapsody), and directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah (The Visitor, Tree).

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced an extension of one additional week of performances for the Broadway premiere of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Cost of Living, written by Martyna Majok (Sanctuary City, Ironbound) and directed by Obie Award winner Jo Bonney, at MTC's Samuel J. Molly Rosa Houlahan joins the artistic team at People's Light as Associate Producing Director. Founded in 1974, People's Light serves as one of Pennsylvania's most accomplished professional non-profit theatres, known for its resident company of artists, wide array of productions, and innovative work with young people. In this role, Houlahan serves as a creative producer, collaborating with artistic and executive leadership to oversee the organization's creative and civic vision.

The Drama League (Artistic Director Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Director Bevin Ross) has opened the 2023-2024 applications for its acclaimed umbrella of service programs, collectively called The Directors Project. These programs, which for the last four decades have provided unparalleled industry-leading production opportunities, career development, and professional growth, give early and mid-career directors paid fellowships, residencies to develop new works, and assistantships at major theatrical institutions.

Founding Artistic Director George Strus has announced the complete cast and additional creative team members for the inaugural Breaking the Binary Theatre Festival. Curated by Strus, Dominique Rider and Josephine Kearns, Breaking the Binary Theatre Festival will feature seven evenings of work created and developed by TNB2S+ theatermakers.

The Brown University/Trinity Repertory Company MFA Programs in Acting and Directing present Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play by Anne Washburn with music by Michael Friedman, directed by Molly Houlahan. 

Manhattan Theatre Club will present the world premiere of Summer, 1976 written by Pulitzer Prize winner David Auburn (Proof, The Columnist), starring Tony Award® & Academy Award® nominee Laura Linney (My Name is Lucy Barton, “Ozark”) and directed by Tony winner Daniel Sullivan (Proof, Lillian Hellman’s The Little Foxes).

The remaining shows have been announced for Manhattan Theatre Club’s 2022-2023 off-Broadway season, and the first show of the 2023-2024 off-Broadway season, at New York City Center – Stage I (131 West 55th Street).
