Palm Beach Symphony has announced its upcoming 2021-22 Season featuring many of today’s most celebrated musicians as pianists Hélène Grimaud, Yefim Bronfman, Maria João Pires, violinist Midori and clarinetist Jon Manasse join Music Director Gerard Schwarz at the podium and the Symphony in a season of five Masterwork Series concerts.

The Embrace Everything podcast series, created and hosted by award-winning radio producer Aaron Cohen, is an exploration and celebration of the music of Gustav Mahler (1860–1911) via a journey through his symphonies. Through commentary by Mr. Cohen, interviews with leading Mahler interpreters and scholars, readings from the letters of Mahler and his contemporaries, and through the sounds of the symphonies themselves, each season of the series will guide listeners through one of these landmark works in the orchestral repertoire.

On Tuesday, March 24 at 8:00 p.m. Kent Nagano leads the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal in his final Carnegie Hall performance as the orchestra's music director. The program includes Schumann's Piano Concerto with soloist Mikhail Pletnev and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 13, a?oeBabi Yar,a?? featuring bass Alexander Vinogradov and members of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal Chorus, and the Chamber Singers, Oratorio Society, and Varsity Men's Glee Club of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under Chorus Master Andrew Megill. A pre-concert talk begins at 7:00 p.m. with Simon Morrison, Professor of Music, Princeton University.

The nominees for the 49th Annual JUNO Awards were announced today by The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) at a press conference attended by media and industry notables at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre (CBC), in downtown Toronto. Musicians of Kronberg Academy Will Make Carnegie Hall Debut In Four Concerts in February

This February, six exceptionally talented young artists from the world-renowned Kronberg Academy in Germany travel to New York City to make their Carnegie Hall debut over four concerts in Weill Recital Hall and Zankel Hall. Current students - violinist Stephen Waarts, cellist Jonathan Roozeman, and pianists Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula and Mishka Rushdie Momen - along with alumni violinist Marc Bouchkov and violist Matthew Lipman present a wide range of repertoire in programs that reflect the individuality and artistry honed during their studies at the prestigious Academy. In two matinee programs, these musicians perform alongside Kronberg Academy faculty members and acclaimed soloists - violist Antoine Tamestit and cellist Gary Hoffman - while in two evening programs the students and alumni showcase solo and chamber works.
