The National Theatre announces its ticket lottery program for the 2018-2019 "Broadway at the National" season - starting with the pre-Broadway world premiere of BEETLEJUICE, onstage October 14 thru November 18, 2018. The National Theatre is located at 1321 Pennsylvania Ave. NW in downtown Washington, D.C.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical concluded its Broadway engagement at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at West 47th Street) last night, September 16, 2018. I loved writing these blogs for you so much that I wanted to come back. So, here I am writing during my last few days of summer break.

Complete casting has been announced for the world premiere Pre-Broadway engagement of the new musical comedy Beetlejuice.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical, the critically acclaimed, award-winning new musical will conclude its Broadway engagement at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at West 47th Street) on Sunday, September 16, 2018, due to previously planned theatre renovations beginning mid-September. Early in 2019, school and youth group licensing rights will be available, with professional licensing to follow. Additionally, a North American tour will begin fall 2019 (cities, venue engagements and casting to be announced at a later date). The production, which began previews on November 6, 2017, and opened on December 4, 2017, will have played 327 regular performances and 29 previews.

Well, we did it! Broadway Sessions recently celebrated it's 10th anniversary with a full blown SUPER SHOW! We invited back some of our favorite performers to recreate some of our favorite musical moments. We also had some incredible new memories made! Our All-Star cast dazzled the SRO room. Conrad Ricamora is best-known to millions of TV viewers as Oliver, the cute computer whiz, on ABC's 'How to Get Away With Murder.' But this 2013 Theatre World Award winner also can slay an audience onstage as he has proven Off-Broadway in 'Here Lies Love' and on Broadway in 'The King and I.' And Ricamora is currently 'killing it' as the star of 'Soft Power,' David Henry Hwang and Jeanine Tesori's bold, new musical. Directed by Leigh Silverman, it is playing through July 8 at the Curran in San Francisco.

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.  This Thursday night, June 28th, Broadway Sessions will celebrate 10 years of being Broadway's favorite night out with an anniversary super show! Themed, Broadway Sessions: Greatest Hits, Broadway Sessions guests will return to recreate some of the series most memorable musical moments.

Back for its 3rd consecutive year, Arts for Autism, a benefit concert to raise money and awareness for Autism Speaks, will take place at 7:30 on June 25th at the prestigious Gershwin Theatre. The biggest names of Broadway join performing arts students from across the country to use the power of musical theatre to promote inclusion, understanding, and community. After raising $81,000 in its first two years, Educational Travel Adventures and Believe NYC are thrilled to announce this year's show will be bigger than ever, hosted by Hamilton superstar Chris Jackson, who himself is a parent of a son with autism. Artistic Director of the show Jacque Carnahan seeks to illuminate the profound power of music. Music not only entertains us, it heals us.

Eric Michael Sweeney and Matthew A. Stephens present Songs and Stories: A Summertime Soiree, an intimate summer evening of storytelling and music making by five rising stars of Broadway. Singers share stories from their lives and the songs which have inspired them along the way. Whether it is a song from the first Broadway show they saw, a song from their childhood, or a song from their dream role, this outstanding cast weaves together their personal histories with the soundtracks of their lives. Songs and Stories: A Summertime Soiree allows audiences a sneak peek behind the curtain and into the real lives of Broadway's rising stars!

Amy Wolk and Nikki M. James present I Only Have Lies For You, a live gameshow that pits Broadway panelists against each other in a lying contest. Two teams of three will go head-to-head telling stories, some of which may not be true---it is up to the other team to guess, Truth or Lie. Featuring musical direction by William TN Hall, panelists will defend their stories by all means possible, including song and dance. Hosted by MAC Award winner Amy Wolk, I Only Have Lies For You is presented monthly at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in New York City, and is being recorded as a podcast, which can be found on iTunes.

This week we have 'No Control' over our excitement because we're hanging out and sharing some drinks and laughs with SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical's Kelvin Moon Loh! We're pouring out Hudson Baby Bourbon Whiskey while Kelvin dishes about his trip to the Tuthilltown Spirits Distillery, how 'Love' made him actually love The Light in the Piazza, and how he coped with Rent 'Selections CD' Shade in high school.

The event will be hosted by Kelvin Moon Loh and Vasthy Mompoint, stars from Broadway's new hit, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, The Broadway Musical. The Shubert Foundation / MTI Broadway Junior partnership is a groundbreaking musical theatre mentorship program that helps public schools affect school culture change through building sustainable theatre education programs. Hundreds of participating students will share musical numbers from their fully produced school shows at the Finale. For many, their first musical theatre experience performing will be on Broadway.
