Black-Eyed Blues Fest will return to Bushnell Park in Downtown Hartford for its 20th year on Saturday, June 22nd from 3pm to 11pm. Produced by Black-Eyed Sally's Southern Kitchen & Bar in partnership with the Connecticut Blues Society, this free event will feature seven bands including Jaimoe's Jasssz Band, Christine Ohlman a.k.a. The Beehive Queen & Rebel Montez, and the five finalists of the CT Blues Challenge.

Loretta Thomas' Moving Visions will join forces with the Ensemble 212 Chamber Orchestra, Yoon Jae Lee, conductor, for Everyman's Reroof, a concert rich in live music and dances by Thomas and Catherine Gallant, as well as historical dances by Isadora Duncan, all accompanied live by the Chamber Orchestra playing Vivaldi, Stephen Barber, Schubert, and more. The divas at the wildly popular Voss Events Drag Brunch will begin a brand-new run at NYC's The Iridium beginning Sunday, April 7. "It's about time this big derriere of mine made its way to Broadway," proclaims Jada Valenciaga who stars in the show alongside drag queens Bootsie Lefaris, Pattaya Hart, and Egypt. The show will feature DJ David Serrano and the divas performing hilarious remakes of disco favorites. Drag legend and former America's Got Talent contestant Shequida hosts. "We will leave drag fans gagging, laughing and feeling fabulous," she promises. "This is brunch, honey, and the best brunch is one you stumble out of!" Band Together NC, a Triangle-based organization that uses live music as a platform for social change, has announced the lineup for this year's Main Event concert on June 1 at Red Hat Amphitheater. The eight-piece soul band St. Paul & The Broken Bones will headline the show which will also include reggae greats- Toots and the Maytals and another artist to be announced soon. The event will benefit and celebrate the 2019 Band Together/Inter-Faith Food Shuttle partnership.
