Berkshire Theatre Group has announced the 2022 Colonial Concert Series: Featuring Broadway Luminaries. 

Berkshire Theatre Group and Kate Maguire have announced spring 2022 Concerts at The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield. These national performing musical acts, along with the regional and local bands, add to BTG’s exciting lineup of events already announced this year.

Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) and Kate Maguire (Artistic Director, CEO) will present three different concert experiences at The Colonial Theatre this March. On Saturday, March 12, Moondance will pay tribute to Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison. On Tuesday, March 15, USAF Heritage Brass will bring the military tradition of brass, percussion and vocals to the Colonial stage. And, on Friday, March 18, The Irish Comedy Tour will keep the St. Patrick’s Day fun going by giving audiences a hilarious look at the experience of being Irish in America.

The fifth 'Berkie' Awards for outstanding achievements in theatre arts for productions in the greater Berkshire region between October 1, 2019 and September 30, 2021, were presented by the Berkshire Theatre Critics Association (BTCA) on the evening of Monday, November 15 at Zion Lutheran Church in downtown Pittsfield, MA. J. Peter Bergman and Macey Levin hosted the event.

Berkshire Theatre Group and Kate Maguire will present Tony Award-winner Stephanie J. Block for two shows only under The Big Tent at The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, MA. Stephanie J. Block is one of a few Broadway performers to garner three Tony Award nominations in just six years.

There are many good reasons you might choose to see GODSPELL under the tent at Berkshire Theatre Group's Colonial Theatre. Whatever the motivation, you will experience a new, fresh, relevant, powerful, topical, and most certainly different production. You will also be making history as part of what many see as the rebirth of theatre in America.

With a small cast of only ten, the simplicity and small scale of Godspell made it an ideal choice to move forward with given current concerns. Performances will take place under a tent in the parking lot of BTG's Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield. To allow for Social Distancing, the audience for each performance will be limited to 75-100.
