Goodwill Cultural Ambassador world-acclaimed Solo Performer Ronald Rand, and author of 'SOLO TRANSFORMATION ON STAGE: A Journey into the Organic Process of the Art of Transformation' will give an in-person Reading and Signing on September 19th @ 5:30 pm at The Drama Book Shop. Special guests scheduled include Stephen Lang & Anita Hollander.

Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater proudly presents The Revolutionists by Lauren Gunderson, directed by Megan Nussle. Performances are Tuesdays through Sundays, August 27 - September 17 on the Julie Harris Stage. Performances are at 8 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Preview performances at 7:30 p.m. on August 25 and 26 are discounted and open to the public.

Starring real-life father and son, Tony Award winner Reed Birney and Ephraim Birney, Chester Bailey will begin previews on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage at Irish Repertory Theatre on October 12, 2022, and is set to open on October 19, for a limited run through November 13, 2022.

But there is a third party in the relationship that may destroy their union. Every night a shadowy monster called The Form seeps from the walls of Anna's apartment and tries to kill her. This play anthropomorphizes depression and explores how mental illness can devastate a person and the lives of those around them.

Whether you want to direct in a community theatre setting or be the next hit Broadway director, every directing student must have a strong educational foundation. While learning from experience is always beneficial, there is nothing wrong with taking direction (no pun intended!) from the directing pros. Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, in a new production by Ruth Stage, will play The Theater at St. Clements (423 W. 46th Street) beginning previews July 15, and opening night is set for July 24. The original scheduled run of this production, which had been announced for January, 2022, was postponed due to the ongoing health crisis.

The new comedy by Scooter Pietsch, directed by Jason Alexander, will make its East Coast premiere this week on Tuesday, May 31, and runs through June 19.

Palm Beach Dramaworks closes out its 2021-22 season with The Belle of Amherst, William Luce’s popular one-woman play based on the life of Emily Dickinson. Margery Lowe, who portrayed the enigmatic poet last year when PBD joined forces with Actors’ Playhouse for a streaming coproduction of the play, returns to the role and is again directed by PBD Producing Artistic Director William Hayes. 

Vivid Stage, formerly Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will present its annual Meet the Artist new play reading series on Wednesdays, May 4, 11, 18 and 25. All readings will take place at the Oakes Center at 7:30 pm.
