The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association today announced a new exhibition at the Hollywood Bowl Museum, Tapes Rolling: David Swedlow Records the Hollywood Bowl, 1954-1959. Launching June 15 in conjunction with the opening of the 2019 summer season and the continuing Centennial celebrations of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the exhibit showcases recordings of the orchestra made by David Swedlow. It will be on view through the spring of 2020.

YOLA Performs In Two Concerts At The Hollywood Bowl

Musicians from YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles) across three sites YOLA at EXPO, YOLA at HOLA, and YOLA at Torres will perform in two concerts this summer at the Hollywood Bowl. On June 15, 33 YOLA musicians will join the first half of the evening with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra conducted by Thomas Wilkins for Opening Night at the Bowl with John Legend.

JC Stewart has shared new single “Have You Had Enough Wine?,” an autobiographical account of the final conversation he had with an ex-girlfriend. “Have you had enough wine? “Have I ruined your life? I didn't mean to,” he sings, on the track produced by his regular collaborator, the Grammy Award-winning producer Fred Ball (The Carters). “The relationship was on the way out,” JC explains. “It takes those three lines and turns it into something bigger. Red Nose Day has now raised more than $190 million in the campaign's first five years in the U.S., including nearly $40 million so far in the 2019 campaign with the fundraising ongoing through June and beyond.

THE VOICE Crowns the Season 16 Champion

Maelyn Jarmon, a 26-year-old artist originally from Frisco, Texas, and currently living in New York, was crowned champion of "The Voice" tonight. Jarmon stood out all season for both her stunning vocals and ability to master her sound as an artist deaf in one ear. The pop alternative singer earned Coach John Legend his first "Voice" win on the four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series.
