Last night, City Harvest, New York City's largest food rescue organization, hosted City Harvest: The 2019 Gala and raised $4.1 million-enough to provide over 14 million meals to New Yorkers in need. The electric-rock-themed event, which took place at Cipriani 42nd Street, was hosted by Chrissy Teigen, TV host, model, and bestselling author, and Antoni Porowski, Emmy Award-winning TV personality, actor, food expert, author and restaurateur. Both are members of City Harvest's Food Council, a group of culinary experts and top chefs dedicated to supporting and spreading awareness of City Harvest's mission.

Norm Lewis and Holland Taylor guest starred on last week's episode of BETTER THINGS on FX. In the episode, the main character Sam goes to New York City to read for a play titled 'Skewered' alongside Lewis, Taylor, and other actors Mark Feuerstein, Gabrielle Ruiz, and Jon Jon Briones.

Artists Den, a critically acclaimed television and music series best known for presenting intimate concerts by extraordinary artists in non-traditional settings, revealed today the first installment of the 2019 Spring Series for Live from the Artists Den. Season 13 of the celebrated series will kick-off with James Bay: Live from the Artists Den. The exclusive concert event will tape from a secret venue in New York on Sunday, May 12 and air at a later date on PBS.

Two fantastic new shows just announced! Roy Thomson Hall presents an intimate performance with neo-classical pianist, Alexandra Streliski on June 26. For this special evening, Streliski will perform for lucky fans alongside her on stage with the grandeur of the Roy Thomson Hall auditorium as her backdrop. The residents of Flint and Ann Arbor, Michigan were treated to a very special event because of the University Musical Society (UMS): Yo-Yo Ma visited as part the performer's two-year journey to perform Six Suites for Solo Cello as a catalyst for social action and it marks the first time Ma extended the model beyond the Bach Project to a broader audience. Ma's visit was two-days filled of activities including a talk by him in the University of Michigan's Hill Auditorium on 'Culture, Understanding, and Survival,' as well as a Day of Action in Flint, Michigan with the theme, 'Flint Voices: Culture, Community, and Resilience.' At the Day of Action, Ma worked with community partners to transform lives and forge both a more connected world and a healthy and vibrant local community with the goal of the session to find new opportunities for collaborations across Flint's cultural communities and organizations. The strategy session was followed up by a community cultural show that was a celebration of Flint's vitality, diversity, and artistry. The Hollywood Reporter says John Legend and his production company will move to ABC Studios.

According to Deadline, Netflix set initial casting on its first ever original musical JINGLE JANGLE. Keegan-Michael Key, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, and Madalen Mills have joined Forest Whitaker in the cast. The film is set to be written and directed by David E. Talbert. the film will be set for release in 2020.
