BroadwayWorld has a first look at the national touring company of the critically acclaimed, award-winning THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL. THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL is currently playing at The Bushnell in Hartford, CT, and will next travel to the Overture Center in Madison, WI prior to engagements in Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto and more.

October's Blue Note Hawaii lineup has a little something for everyone including two comic powerhouses with Todd Barry and Donnell Rawlings continuing the Blue Note Hawaii Comedy Series. The Island 98.5 Rocksteady Reggae Series is back with Toronto-based Magic! in an unplugged performance. In partnership with the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival, EFFEN Vodka Presents Drag Appetit, a drag queen brunch you won't want to miss. Erhu virtuoso Tsun-Hui Hung, two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominee slack key guitarist Jeff Peterson, steel-guitarist Greg Sardinha and bassist Wade Cambern wrap up the month in Across the Sea: An Evening of World Fusion.

The Tony Award-winning Broadway production of August Wilson's Jitney will receive an additional six performances during its run at Arena Stage. Under the direction of Tony Award-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson, the production now runs through October 27, 2019 in the Kreeger Theater.

Today's conversation is with Emmy Award and multiple NAACP Image Award-winning film, television and stage veteran Joe Morton. Morton is perhaps best known for his role as Rowan Pope in the television series 'Scandal.' Morton's television credits include a recurring role as lawyer Daniel Golden on 'The Good Wife,' on the Network; five seasons as scientist Henry Deacon in the Emmy-nominated series 'Eureka'; 'The Cosby Show' spinoff 'A Different World'; the Kyra Sedgwick-produced 'Proof'; and 'Grace & Frankie.' In 2016 he portrayed the role of Roy Wilkins alongside Bryan Cranston in the Emmy-nominated biopic 'All the Way,' adapted from the Tony Award-winning Robert Schenkkan play.
