This spring, DreamWrights is excited to stage the world premiere of a charming story by local playwright, Paige Hoke, Peter Pan and Mary.  Hoke says she was inspired to write this original play during a children's theatre class she took while working towards her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Arcadia University.  (more...)

The adventure runs April 11 to 22 at UNG's Ed Cabell Theatre. A charming though perplexing adaptation of the 2004 film, FINDING NEVERLAND jets into too many erratic directions at any given moment and doesn't gel completely as a whole. And for all its gorgeous, visual splendor, it is surprisingly lacking in honest-to-goodness stage magic. There's the old adage in any kind of entertainment that if you have a strong finish, the audience can forgive some pitfalls that may have come before. Unfortunately the new work currently playing at Village Theatre has many of those pitfalls (and some good moments too) but they're followed by one of the most egregiously bad, anti-climactic and lackluster endings I think I've ever seen.
