Syracuse Stage Artistic Director Robert Hupp and Managing Director Jill Anderson announced the next production in their 2022/2023 season, and it’s one for the ages. Thornton Wilder’s cherished and frequently produced play, Our Town, runs Wednesday, March 29 through Sunday, April 16 at Syracuse Stage in the Archbold Theatre. Robert Hupp will direct the production.

Porchlight Music Theatre announces the cast of New Faces for its latest offering in its 2022 - 2023 season, New Faces Sing Broadway 1951, hosted by multi-award winner and Broadway veteran David Girolmo, directed by David Fiorello with music direction and arrangements by Dr. Michael McBride.

On select Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Theatre West will present readings of new full-length plays developed in its Writers Workshop.

The strengths and flaws of the American jury system are laid bare – as are the prejudices and social attitudes of those standing in judgment – in Reginald Rose's classic Twelve Angry Men, which opens at Palm Beach Dramaworks on December 9 (8pm). Performances continue through December 24, with specially priced previews on December 7 and 8 (7:30pm). J. Barry Lewis directs.  

Donelle Dadigan (Founder/President of the Hollywood Museum in the Historic Max Factor Bldg) brought the cast of TV’s most celebrated family, THE WALTONS, together at the Hollywood Museum for an afternoon of fun and photos with fans. Following a cast Q&A with emcee, Hollywood film and TV critic, Leonard Maltin, fans experienced The Waltons Exhibit, with full support and participation by Warner Brothers Archivists.

Based on the book by Craig Lucas and inspired by the seven-time Academy Award-winning 1952 musical comedy film, An American in Paris brings the legendary music of George and Ira Gershwin to the stage from August 3rd -13th. Featuring such classics as “I Got Rhythm,” “S’Wonderful” and “Shall We Dance”, this marks the show’s debut performance on a Cape Cod theater’s stage. With a timeless story and unforgettable characters, audiences have something quite special to look forward to this August.

Forty-one years after its premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre, Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum will present the world premiere of an “all new” revival of The West Side Waltz by Academy Award-winning writer Ernest Thompson (On Golden Pond).

As Always, Jimmy Stewart is set to play at Theatre West on Saturday, July 9th at 8pm and Sunday, July 10th at 3pm. Theatre West is located at 3333 Cahuenga Blvd. West, in Los Angeles, CA 90068. The show is written by Steve Nevil and Ted Snyder, directed by Ted Snyder, and produced by Dina Morrone for Theatre West. Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Gettysburg College's Majestic Theater will celebrate 15 years of Summer Classic Movies when the annual series begins June 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the historic 1925 auditorium. Enjoy classic movies in the beautifully restored historic theater Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. June through August. Tickets for each film are just $8 and are on sale now. Advanced ticket purchase is strongly recommended.

Originally intended to take place for the 25-year anniversary of SOTS in 2020, COVID-19 made AT THE GATES postpone tour until 2022. Finally, the band will hit the road starting August 17th in Los Angeles, where the band will perform the entire SOTS album from start to finish, in additional to a mix of other tracks from their 30+ year career.

A golden way to end the summer, Tibbits Summer Theatre will close its 58th professional summer theatre season with 'On Golden Pond' July 28 through August 6 at the historic Tibbits Opera House.

Noted television director and producer John Erman, who directed episodes of many of the great television shows and TV movies and mini-series from the early sixties all the way into the 2000’s, died in New York on June 25th after a brief illness.

His work has been nominated for a Tony, an Emmy and a British Academy Award. His more than 35 plays have been seen in theatres around the world.
