Barn Theatre's production of Jeeves & Wooster in Perfect Nonsense stopped off at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre in Taunton, Somerset, for two nights during its UK tour. Based on P. G. Wodehouse's book The Code of the Woosters, Andrew Ashford (Jeeves) and Matthew Cavendish (Wooster) have big shoes to fill, bringing such well-loved characters to life.
The Barn Theatre Announce Cast For New Production Of Patrick Barlow's BEN HUR

The Barn Theatre have announced casting for their upcoming production of the comedy Ben Hur by Olivier award-winning playwright Patrick Barlow. The production, which runs in the historic Roman town from 4 March to 18 April 2020, will star James Dinsmore (Great Expectations) as Edgar T Chesterfield, Liam Horrigan (The Play That Goes Wrong) as Daniel Veil, Devarnie Lothian (Grandpa's Great Escape) as Omar Lord and Bronte Tadman (A Christmas Carol) as Crystal Singer.
Conceptual Artist and Musician Ted Riederer to Make BAM Debut with NEVER RECORDS

New York-based conceptual artist and musician Ted Riederer makes his BAM artistic debut by exploring the social significance of record shops, vinyl lathe cuts, and recording studios with his site-specific project, Never Records. With a nod to Fluxus, Alan Kaprow's happenings, Alan Lomax, Harry Smith, and the collectivism of 80s and 90s DC punk scene, Never Records embodies Riederer's mission to build and galvanize communities based on the act of listening, and the visualization of sound. The BAM 2020 exhibition marks the 10th anniversary of the project which has recorded artists and citizens from around the globe including Liverpool, Derry, London, Lisbon, New Orleans, Victoria (Texas), Kansas City, and Amman (Jordan).

If a contemporary Hollywood screenwriter pitched the plot of Sean O'Casey's classic 1923 drama, The Shadow of a Gunman to a movie producer ('A struggling poet gets in over his head when he allows his neighbors to believe he's an IRA gunman in order to impress an attractive young woman.') it might get sold as a wacky romantic comedy.
