To end the summer “Back in Show Business” season, City Theatre Austin is honored to present the musical classic, The Fantasticks. It is a show years in the making and the company's first full-length musical production since their 2018 mega-hit sensation Tommy. The curtains rises September 2 – 18 at Trinity Street Playhouse located at the First Baptist Church of Austin.
Flying V to Present The New York Neo-Futurist's THE INFINITE WRENCH in August

The Department of Theater and Dance presents Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, a unique ensemble performance that seeks to present 35 plays in 70 minutes. Directed by UCSB lecturer Michael Bernard, the show opens at 1 p.m. on November 6 and runs through November 14.

Christina Franklin has been training and working in New York's theater scene since she was eight years old — starting out in the rehearsal studios of TADA! Youth Theater (whose notable alumni include Kerry Washington and Jordan Peele) and taking her gift for storytelling all the way to Broadway. Irvington Theater will bring Franklin's newest play, Cleanse, to virtual audiences from May 21-23.

Showtunes Theatre Company Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary at Town Hall

Showtunes Theatre Company produced its first musical in concert on January 22, 2000 at Town Hall in Seattle. That first show was Anyone Can Whistle, a Stephen Sondheim/Arthur Laurents cult favorite that showcased 30+ local performers and musicians and enjoyed a sold-out-one-night-only performance. Now, 20 years and one month to the day, Showtunes has produced 40 musicals in concert, multiple cabarets and special events produced in and around Seattle since January of 2000 on the very stage it all began - Town Hall Seattle.
