The Curtis Symphony Orchestra makes a dynamic return to the stage for the first time since February 2020 with Strings, Symphonies, and Strauss, led by Peter Oundjian, conductor emeritus of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, for in-person audiences on Sunday, February 20 at 8 p.m. at Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

This month, FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Award-winning actress and vocalist Gabrielle Lee and her swinging four-piece jazz band will deliver an evening of ragtime, blues and Tin Pan Alley jazz standards celebrating Black History Month. A Tin Pan Alley Celebration of Black History Month plays at Feinstein’s/54 Below on Friday, February 11 at 7 PM.

Today, GRAMMY Award-winning Catalyst Quartet releases UNCOVERED Volume 2: Florence B. Price on Azica Records.

On Friday, February 11, 2022 at 7:30pm, the Jupiter String Quartet, quartet-in-residence at the University of Illinois, is presented at Adelphi University's Performing Arts Center (1 South Avenue).

PCPA's production of As You Like It comes to the Marian stage February 17th through  March 6th. 

The Seattle Symphony's Songs of the Earth performance will be live broadcast and available to view on Seattle Symphony Live on February 10. The captured broadcast will be available online for one week. This performance brings together a poignant program of music that reflects on the end of life.

ASO is joined by renowned soloist Sara Daneshpour with Rachmaninov’s romantic Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. Strings take center stage with George Walker’s Lyric for Strings and Beethoven’s Quartet for Strings in C-sharp minor, expanded for full orchestra. The program also features Sibelius’ epic tone poem, Finlandia.

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra will present four performances as part of their 2021-2022 series in the brand-new Steinmetz Hall at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in March and May.

On February 14, Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe and Modern Marimba present “A Place for You,” an hour-long concert celebrating Black history. The program features Steph Davis – co-founder of Modern Marimba – on marimba and several collaborating artists.

Seattle Opera continues its 2021/22 season with a dynamic lineup of opera events, including community conversations, artist recitals, laser shows, and a timely and award-winning opera.

On Friday, February 4, 2022, GRAMMY Award-winning Catalyst Quartet will release UNCOVERED Volume 2: Florence B. Price on Azica Records. The album is the second issue of a multi-volume anthology highlighting string quartet works by historically important Black composers which aims to bring greater awareness and programming of their music.

The NSO will present Beethoven & American Masters, a three-week festival featuring concerts that belatedly celebrate the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth. Led by Music Director Gianandrea Noseda, the concerts pair symphonies by Beethoven with works by 20th-century American composers William Grant Still and George Walker.

Rovaris will marshal the company’s musical forces once again on Friday, Jan. 21 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 23, at 2:00 p.m., this time in the company’s concert debut in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center, for a program featuring Igor Stravinsky’s Oedipus Rex and George Walker’s Lilacs.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) is accepting submissions for the Writer-Director Communications Lab, an amazing opportunity for directors and writers to meet and hone their ability to talk productively with each other. The deadline for writer submissions is extended to Friday, December 3, 2021.

WFMT will celebrate its 70th anniversary on Monday, December 13 with a day of exciting performances featuring an impressive roster of special guests. UNC Choirs, Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra combine to present' Celebration for a New Day': an evening of music and poetry in appreciation of being able to once again make music in person, and to reflect on the changes in consciousness that have happened during Covid.

The 92nd Street Y will present Seth Parker Woods, cello, and Andrew Rosenblum piano, playing Mendelssohn, Schumann, and more, on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 8pm ET as part of its fall classical music season, its first fully in-person season since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Friday, November 19 New Orchestra of Washington will open their 2021-2022 season at Westmoreland Congregational United Church of Christ (1 Westmoreland Circle NW, Bethesda, MD) at 7:30pm.
