The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) promises to deliver an all-new, outdoor Princeton Festival June 10-25, 2022 with a cohesive campus plan, community cooperation, and exciting artists.

In the final weeks of Franz Schubert's tragically short life, he wrote one of the great masterworks in all of chamber music — his Quintet in C Major. In this new five-part course, Jonathan Coopersmith, Chair of Musical Studies at the Curtis Institute of Music, explores the work in depth, as well as the creative burst that spawned it.

On January 21, 2022, pianist Simone Dinnerstein’s latest album Undersong will be released on Orange Mountain Music. Undersong is the third in a trilogy of albums that Dinnerstein recorded at her home in Brooklyn during the pandemic, with her longtime producer Adam Abeshouse.

The cornerstone of the Festival will be a spotlight on the Kronos Quartet, who will participate in three events, and world premiere of Gould's Wall, presented in collaboration with Tapestry Opera and Maniac Star.

Named for the groundbreaking African American contralto, the Marian Anderson Vocal Award recognizes a young American singer in opera, oratorio, or recital repertoire with outstanding promise for a significant career. Earlier this year, Washington National Opera (WNO) named tenor Frederick Ballentine as the 2021 recipient and will present him in concert on Tuesday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater.

Pianist Jenny Lin will perform Glass Reflections, The Music of Phillip Glass and others, including Ligeti, Busoni and Schubert at the Morris Museum's Bickford Theatre, Sunday, November 14, 2021, 2 PM.

For me, an exciting evening in the theater and in the world of ballet. The name Ballet'X' connotes a modern term denoting non-gendered, non-binary, and inclusivity. I instantly discerned that this company was on top of the latest consciousness, and has incorporated not only this, but the latest trend of mixing forms of dance together, the latest in staging and technology, and superbly trained young, up-and-coming dancers. The program for the evening consisted of three new works, by three diverse, world-renowned choreographers, all set on the dancers in the company. This young company, based in Philadelphia, is amazingly together with an eclectic repertoire, presenting a clean, fully executed array of interesting choreography and interpretations.

Park University International Center for  Music announced today that their 2021-2022 Season would continue on November 19th with an entire concert devoted to piano lovers. The concert will be held  at the 1900 Building in Mission Woods, Kansas (corner of State Line Road and Shawnee  Mission Parkway). 

With two unique programs spanning four performances, SHEEP #1 delivers a one-of-a-kind object-theater performance performed live with musical accompaniment.  Performances take place Thursday, November 4 – Sunday, November 7 at Japan Society (333 East 47th Street). 

On Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:30am and Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 8:00pm, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO) presents the U.S. premiere of composer Anna Clyne's PIVOT, a SLSO co-commission.

Acclaimed pianist Shai Wosner marks his Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) return with a performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's demanding Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 15 in B-flat Major, K. 450. Edward T. Cone Music Director Rossen Milanov conducts the concert which includes Evan Williams' The Dream Deferred and Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 4, “Tragic.”

Maureen Fleming Company presents DANCES FROM HOME, a gallery installation and performance triptych by 2021 Guggenheim choreographer/performance artist Maureen Fleming. This unique series features live studio performances as well as Fleming's new and retrospective photography spanning her 40 years as an artist working in her Lower East Side studio.

Shriver Hall Concert Series will open its 2021-22 season with a performance by the lauded Miró Quartet. The in-person concert features Mozart's String Quartet in B-flat Major, K. 458, 'Hunt;' Beethoven's String Quartet in A minor, Op. 132; and the world premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw's Microfictions [Vol. I].

New York Festival of Song, led by Artistic Director Steven Blier, presents And...We're Back!, the first of four Mainstage Series performances in its 2021-22 season, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 8:00pm at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents Philadelphia's premiere contemporary ballet company BalletX, led by Artistic & Executive Director Christine Cox, in its SCFTA debut on Saturday, October 16 at 7:30 pm. 

Collaborative Arts Institute of Chicago begins its eleventh anniversary season with its annual Collaborative Works Festival, held in venues around Chicago from October 6–9, 2021. The 2021 Collaborative Works Festival: Strangers in a Strange Land explores themes of immigration and migration in song, featuring the works of a wide range of composers, many of whom immigrated or migrated during the course of their own lifetimes.
