San Francisco Ballet (SF Ballet) Principal Dancer Yuan Yuan Tan will give her final performance with San Francisco Ballet on Wednesday, February 14 at 7:30pm, dancing the role of Marguerite in Sir Frederick Ashton’s Marguerite and Armand at the War Memorial Opera House.

A tradition in Columbus since 1978, BalletMet will present the Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky classic Dec. 7-23 at the Ohio Theatre.

 The Washington Ballet announced that American arts leader Edwaard Liang has been appointed its new Artistic Director. The internationally renowned dancer, choreographer and administrator becomes only the fourth artistic director in the company’s history and the first person of color to head the organization.

BalletMet will present three shows, Twyla Tharp’s NINE SINATRA SONGS, Justin Peck’s THE TIMES ARE RACING and Ulysses Dove’s VESPERS. These shows, which are making their Columbus debut, forgo the traditional ballet shoe. NINE SINATRA SONGS uses ball room shoes.

New York City Ballet Principal Dancer RUSSELL JANZEN will give his final performance with New York City Ballet on September 24 at 3pm, dancing the principal role in “Diamonds” from George Balanchine's Jewels.   

With both familiar favorites and works entirely new to Columbus’ stage, BalletMet will present five shows during its 2023-2024 season.

MorDance presents Works in Progress on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 7:30pm at Martha Graham Studios, 55 Bethune St, NYC. This intimate showing is an opportunity to peer into the creative process and hear from the artists themselves.

New York City Ballet announced today the promotion of Chun Wai Chan to Principal Dancer. Following a series of debuts throughout the Company’s 2021-22 Repertory Season, Chan will make his final debut this season in the role of Titania’s Cavalier in George Balanchine’s beloved full-length classic, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which closes out NYCB’s 2022 Spring Season with ten performances from May 21 to 29, 2022 at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. Chun Wai Chan joined New York City Ballet as a Soloist in August 2021.

Today, New York City Ballet announced the promotion of three of the company’s soloists. Harrison Ball, Jovani Furlan, and Peter Walker have all been promoted to Principal Dancer. The Company closes its  2022 Winter Season on Sunday, February 27, and will return for a six-week spring season from April 19 to  May 29, 2022 at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. 

The KC Ballet's return to the Kauffman center is a high-energy trio of performances

New York City Ballet announced today the promotion of three of the Company’s dancers. Soloists Unity Phelan and Indiana Woodward have been promoted to the rank of Principal Dancer, and corps de ballet member Roman Mejia has been promoted to Soloist.

As it returns to live performances, Smuin Contemporary Ballet announces the addition of four new dancers: Stéphano Candreva, Marc LaPierre, Yuri Rogers, and Claire Buehler, who is an apprentice this season.
