The new musical BONHOEFFER THE MUSICAL will have industry presentation today, December 14 at 2PM at The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Theatre Center. Bristol Riverside Theatre kicks off its Summer Music Fest series with Unforgettable: A Tribute to America's Greatest Songwriters on June 14-24. Unforgettable presents the best songs from pop culture, musicals, and movies, with selections such as "Night & Day", "Summertime", and "The Pink Panther Theme".  Led by Keith Baker and the BRT Band, the program features BRT favorites Demetria Joyce Bailey, Philip Chaffin, Derrick Cobey, Elyse Langley, and Keith Spencer.

Yellow Sound Label has announced the release of the new studio cast recording of Kris Kringle The Musical on Friday, February 16. Kris Kringle is the brand-new Christmas musical which made its New York debut at Town Hall in November 2017.

Some musicals or plays can be a little bit difficult to pin down or describe and Regina Taylor's Crowns, now playing at Lyric Theatre's Plaza stage is in that category. The program's Director's Notes say, in part, that the musical is "presented as a jukebox musical," which it is in that it uses previously recorded songs woven into a plot, but that doesn't tell the whole story. To say that it's a "show about hats," would be a huge oversimplification and a disservice to a show that is so much more than that.
