Emmy Award-winning actress and writer Renée Taylor a?" known to millions as Fran Fine's food obsessed mother, Sylvia, on a?oeThe Nannya?? a?" will bring her comedy smash MY LIFE ON A DIET to George Street Playhouse beginning next Tuesday, November 19th. Called a?oefascinating, lighthearted and spicya?? by The New York Times, MY LIFE ON A DIET, an autobiographical comedy written by Ms. Taylor and her late husband Joseph Bologna, had an enormously successful run last season Off-Broadway under the direction of Mr. Bologna.

Southampton Arts Center is delighted to announce a live reading/production of Love Loss and What I Wore, a play by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman, on Saturday, October 19 at 2 PM and 8 PM. This special theatrical event, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and National Mammogram Day, follows SAC's highly successful 2018 production of The Vagina Monologues with many of the same cast members. Southampton Arts Center is very proud to share a portion of the proceeds to the Coalition for Women's Cancers at Stonybrook Southampton Hospital (www.cwcshh.org).

Last night, Renee Taylor won the annual The United Solo Special Award, which recognizes artists who have made significant recent contributions to solo theatre during the year, for her critically acclaimed autobiographical comedy MY LIFE ON A DIET. Along with Ms. Taylor, this year's nominees included Derek DelGaudio (In & Of Itself), Alison S. M. Kobayashi (Say Something Bunny!), John Lithgow (Stories By Heart), Chita Rivera (An Evening with Chita Rivera) and Bruce Springsteen (Springsteen on Broadway).
