Much-lauded cabaret singer Susanne Mack will play her 2021 show FRAGMENTS for one final encore.

Singer and master song interpreter John Minnock issues Simplicity on Dot Time Records, reprising his artistic partnership with saxophonist-composer and NEA Jazz Master Dave Liebman. Following Minnock's acclaimed 2020 release Herring Cove, Simplicity signals an evolution of his artistry.

Nathan R. Matthews is producing and performing in a concert for The Riverside Opera Ensemble at Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Music Center on May 16th. Tony nominee Christiane Noll (Ragtime) and Grammy winner Edward Parks (The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs) will headline the concert of new music by Dreamworks composer Drew Fornarola and Matthews himself.

I was fortune to be able to see the last production Ron Celona will direct in his role as artistic director at CVRep. He's once again delivered top-notch entertainment in the form of Closer Than Ever.

Steven Brinberg (Simply Barbra) headlines an 80th birthday concert celebrating legend Barbra Streisand's 80th birthday on Sunday, April 24 at 9:30 PM at Feinstein's/54 Below, 254 West 54th Street, NYC 10019. Christopher Denny is the Musical Director.  

German born, New York-based vocalist Susanne Mack is returning to Pangea with her new cabaret show, Fragments, on Friday, February 25 and Thursday, March 3, 2022. Both shows are at 7 PM. Music director Paul Greenwood is at the piano. The show was directed by Barb Jungr.

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS has announced the new release from renowned singer, actress and author Melissa Errico, the  compelling new studio album, Out Of The Dark: The Film Noir Project today Friday, February 18.

Following a successful run of CVRep's second play of the season, Life X 3, the playhouse continues its season of Hopes, Dreams, and Expectations 2021-2022 with Closer Than Ever, a musical revue directed by Ron Celona, with music by David Shire, lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr., and musical direction by Scott Storr.

At the height of the pandemic in 2020, when the world was locked away in lonely rooms with only old movies to watch at midnight, Errico suddenly returned to one of her life-long obsessions – noir! The genre is noted for its dark, disturbing sensibility of intractable fatalism that Paris existentialists discovered in American film during the 1940’s. Noir continues to run as a mesmerizing, mysterious current through modern movies and music, and Errico has embraced it in her own artistic endeavors.

BIG props to the artistic team behind BIG: THE MUSICAL at Garden Theatre. They built a BIG all-wood roller coaster right on stage. It's a beauty to look at, honestly as dazzling as the famous real-deal I rode at Dollywood two weeks ago. You can't ride the Garden's, but it does move. The show's various scene settings, whether a two-story apartment or a Manhattan office building, are hidden within the coaster's twisting support beams and break out to roll downstage. It makes a BIG Impression...

The musical Baby, produced by Out of the Box Theatrics, follows three couples on a university campus dealing with the painful, rewarding and unexpectedly funny consequences of pregnancy and parenthood features a book by Sybille Pearson, music by David Shire, and lyrics by Tony Award winner Richard Maltby, Jr.
