ABC News' “World News Tonight with David Muir” was the No. 1 program in America across all of broadcast and cable television in Total Viewers for the week of April 20, 2020, with its Monday (11.146 million) newscast.

ABC News Live, America's No. 1 streaming news channel, launches today on YouTube TV, will roll out on Amazon's news app on all Fire TV devices in the U.S. over the coming weeks, and is available on compatible Fire tablets.

As COVID-19 lockdowns sweep the globe, ABC News announced today that “20/20” will air its third live special in prime time anchored by David Muir on the outbreak. “America Rising: Fighting the Pandemic – A Special Edition of '20/20'” will highlight the extraordinary work by health care workers on the front lines, as well as communities, volunteers and celebrities who are all stepping up to help fight COVID-19.

As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to unfold, ABC News' “20/20” will air a live one-hour special on the latest news, developments and people affected by the virus and widespread changes sweeping the nation.

ABC News' “World News Tonight with David Muir” stood as the evening's No. 1 newscast in all key targets: Total Viewers (9.135 million), Adults 25-54 (1.819 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.234 million) for the week of March 2, 2020, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “World News Tonight” outdelivered “NBC Nightly News” (8.044 million, 1.753 million and 1.216 million, respectively) by 1.091 million Total Viewers, 66,000 Adults 25-54 and 18,000 Adults 18-49.  

ABC News' “20/20” stood as Friday's No. 1 newsmagazine, outdelivering NBC's “Dateline” by double digits in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+13% – 4.3 million vs. 3.8 million), Adults 18-49 (+17% - 0.7/4 vs. 0.6/3) and Adults 25-54 (+11% - 1.0/5 vs. 0.9/4).  In fact, “20/20” ranked as Friday's No. 1 telecast overall in Adults 25-54.

Today, ABC News announced special coverage of the COVID-19 outbreak, including a live two-hour “20/20” focused on the outbreak, new daily programs on ABC News Live and ABC News Radio, and a bonus edition of the “Start Here” podcast. ABC News' “World News Tonight with David Muir” stood as the No. 1 evening newscast across the board: Total Viewers (9.108 million), Adults 25-54 (1.777 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.180 million) for the week of Feb. 24, 2020, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “World News Tonight” outdelivered “NBC Nightly News” (7.823 million, 1.634 million and 1.135 million, respectively) by 1.285 million Total Viewers, by 143,000 Adults 25-54 and by 45,000 Adults 18-49. In fact, “World News Tonight” turned its 2nd-largest overall viewer win of the season.

ABC News'  “World News Tonight with David Muir” won the February 2020 sweep across the board: Total Viewers (9.200 million), Adults 25-54 (1.810 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.181 million), based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. “World News Tonight” ranked No. 1 in all key demos during a February sweep for the first time in 13 years – since February 2007.

ABC News' “World News Tonight with David Muir” ranked as the evening's No. 1 newscast in all key target demos: Total Viewers (9.028 million), Adults 25-54 (1.808 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.176 million) for the week of Feb. 17, 2020, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “World News Tonight” outperformed “NBC Nightly News” (7.788 million, 1.602 million and 1.093 million, respectively) by 1.240 million Total Viewers, 206,000 Adults 25-54 and 83,000 Adults 18-49.  In fact, “World News Tonight” scored its 2nd-largest overall viewer win of the season.
