As we approach the one year anniversary of Broadway shutting down due to the pandemic, the questions of reopening are finally moving from the theoretical to the real. What are the procedures going to look like? In places where venues are allowed to operate at some (or full) capacity, how to do it safely, and will audiences actually return?

Dallas Summer Musicals, in partnership with Broadway Across America, today announced the revised lineup of Broadway shows coming to Dallas in its next season, including the performance dates for the return engagement of HAMILTON, November 16 - December 5, 2021.

Tony Nominees Rory O'Malley and Mary Testa are the latest Broadway actors interviewed by The Audition Helper Podcast. Rory O'Malley was nominated for his performance as Elder McKinley in the original cast of The Book of Mormon. Mary Testa received her third Tony nomination for her performance as Aunt Eller in the Daniel Fish revival of Oklahoma.

On November 16, S.P.O.T. Mentorship announced it's official launch Festival weekend, set for December 11-13, 2020. The official launch weekend will take place solely over Zoom, as S.P.O.T. is an online-based company built to suit the needs of our changing world.

The Public Theater announced the full line-up today for the 17th annual UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL, running January 6-17, 2021, with pre-festival programming offered beginning December 21, 2020.

Artistic Director Michael Ritchie announced Center Theatre Group’s 54th season at the Ahmanson Theatre will begin in August 24, 2021, four months later than it was formerly scheduled. The season features the previously announced “The Lehman Trilogy,” “The Prom,” “Hadestown” and “Dear Evan Hansen” plus “1776” which was previously announced for the 2019 – 2020 season.

2020 has proven to be an exceptional year for the Tony Awards and the nominees in the category of Best Original Score are equally exceptional. In a category usually dominated by musical scores, all five nominees in the category come from plays.

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center has announced the new line-up of its new global series, SEGAL TALKS. Since the beginning in March the series featured close to 100 talks with 150 artists from 50 countries.

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced the updated 2021 seasons of the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) and Washington National Opera (WNO) along with the new seasons of theater, ballet and dance, and Performances for Young Audiences.

BroadwaySF has announced its 2020-2021 Season including seven Broadway blockbusters at the Orpheum and Golden Gate Theatres.

Best of Broadway series at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center announced the shows for the 2020-2021 season today. The season will welcome five shows including: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (January 8-10, 2021); Oklahoma! (January 29-31, 2021); Fiddler on the Roof (March 19-21, 2021); and more!

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, presents a Virtual Works & Process: Dance Heginbotham on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at 7:30pm. Today's episode features Rebecca Naomi Jones- best known for her performances in the Broadway rock musicals Passing Strange, American Idiot, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch.Jones was born in New York City, New York, to a musician father. Her mother is Jewish and her father is African-American. Jones performed in the children's chorus of the Metropolitan Opera as a youth and graduated from the Berkeley Carroll School in 1999. 'I did theatre all throughout middle school and high school and was really into it, the same with singing,' she said.
