Ray of Light Theatre, San Francisco's home of contemporary musical theater, has announced its 2023 season featuring a nostalgic trip back to the years of teenage angst, love, sex, drugs and a fair amount of rock and roll.

The lineup includes Missy Elliott, marking her first billed performance since 2019, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, alongside Usher, 50 Cent, Nelly, Pitbull, with additional performances from contemporary fan-favorites Miguel, Jhene Aiko, Summer Walker, Bryson Tiller, PARTYNEXTDOOR and many more.

An all-star cast of iconic singers including Dolly Parton, Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper, Gloria Estefan and Debbie Harry will release the new single “Gonna Be You” from the Paramount Pictures film 80 FOR BRADY. Grammy-nominated songwriter, singer, actress and businesswoman Tayla Parx premieres an animated video for her holiday song “Ain’t A Lonely Christmas (Remix)” with Bryson Tiller. In addition, Parx will star as Donna Summer in the Casablanca Records biopic, Spinning Gold, which is scheduled to hit theatres on March 31, 2023.

Owner Catalina Popescu has announced that Grammy-winning Jazz great Gordon Goodwin and his Big Phat Band will headline the musical celebration at Catalina Jazz Club on December 31.

Acclaimed Argentine pop singer Tini Stoessel will perform live exclusively on Disney+. The concert streams live from the Argentine Polo Ground in Buenos Aires, giving subscribers a front-row seat to Tini’s biggest show to date. The concert special will be available to stream on Disney+ following the live performance.

One of Houston's newest theatre companies, The Garden Theatre, has announced its plans to bring the stage version of a cult classic to life in Cruel Intentions: The '90s Musical at MATCH. Featuring the familiar story accompanied by '90s hits, the production will run November 18-27, 2022 at Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston (3400 Main St.) in the heart of midtown. This will be the first production of Cruel Intentions: The '90s Musical ever produced in Houston.
