Pan's Flute Productions, Chicago's newest production company, is set to present Poisoned: A Snow White Rock Musical, based on the classic story of Snow White, written and directed by T. James Callahan as their inaugural production. Poisoned is set to run at Stage 773 (1225 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago) April 17 through May 3. Pride Films and Plays will present its second annual cabaret celebrating the queer community in Chicago and bringing more visibility to the female/non-binary who love women. Thirty performers will sing music from genres including pop, musical theatre, cabaret, classical, and original works. Performers will also accompany the singers on piano, guitar, ukulele, cello, and other instruments. The complete program will be performed twice -  Saturday, January 25 and Sunday, January 26. Mike Leigh's iconic class comedy, Abigail's Party, has arrived at Nuffield Southampton Theatres on its UK tour.

Beverly and husband Laurence are throwing a party for their newlywed neighbours, Tony and Angela. Joining them is highly strung Susan who's been banished from the party of her teenage daughter Abigail. Welcome to 1970's suburbia and its heady mix of free-flowing cocktails, classic disco and cheese and pineapple sticks. As tensions rise and tempers flare the sheen of respectability is torn away by the warring couples with hilarious and potentially disastrous consequences.

Those who have attended an excruciatingly awkward cocktail party will revel in this production of Abigail's Party by Mike Leigh.

Full cast and crew have been announced for City Lit's world premiere translation of Aeschylus's theatrically boldest tragedy, PROMETHEUS BOUND, which will begin previews April 27, 2018 and open to the press on Sunday, May 6. This new translation was commissioned by City Lit from Nicholas Rudall, Founding Artistic Director of Court Theater and internationally acclaimed award-winning translator of Greek drama.
