The Kwanzaa Film Festival presents a special Martin Luther King Jr. Day program, themed 'A Kwanzaa Response to a Hanukkah Tragedy' with a program that focuses on African American-Jewish Relations. The feature presentation is this year's 'Best Film' winner Soul Doctor - the Broadway movie-musical about the life of the 'rock star' rabbi Shlomo Carlbach and his history shaping relationship with music icon Nina Simone. The film will be shown on Monday, January 20th at 4pm at AMC Magic Johnson Harlem (2309 Frederick Douglas Blvd.) as part of their Gala Awards evening.

Jonathan Hadary has received the annual St. Clair Bayfield Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation for his performance as Sicinius Velutus in The Public Theatre's Shakespeare in the Park Coriolanus. The announcement was made by Judy Rice, President of the Foundation, and Joan Glazer, Managing Director.

A&E Network takes viewers on a one of a kind paranormal adventure with the chilling new two-hour special 'World's Biggest Ghost Hunt: Pennhurst Asylum' premiering Wednesday, October 30 at 8pm ET/PT. The two-hour event will be followed at 10pm ET/PT by the season finale of A&E's reimagining of 'Ghost Hunters,' the show that introduced the world to authentic paranormal investigation.

A&E Network dives back into the unexplained paranormal universe, greenlighting five compelling shows including the revival of 'Ghost Hunters,' one of the most successful paranormal series of all time. In the Family LLC will present the US theatrical release of A BREAD FACTORY (Part One & Part Two), an ambitious project comprising two feature films written and directed by Patrick Wang. Starring Tyne Daly and Elisabeth Henry as a couple who are fighting to keep their local arts center open, the film will open at Village East Cinema in New York and at the Laemmle Monica Film Center in Los Angeles on October 26. Other cities will follow. After a successful release in France, Patrick Wang's second film, THE GRIEF OF OTHERS, will be released in New York and Los Angeles on November 2.

As BroadwayWorld reported last week, acclaimed actor and director Brian Murray, who worked extensively on and off Broadway for more than fifty years, passed away from natural causes at the age of 80.
