Gingold Theatrical Group (David Staller, Artistic Director) held the 2018 Golden Shamrock Gala on Saturday, March 17 at 3 West Club (3 West 51st Street), and honored actress and activist Martha Plimpton and actor, producer, and long-time Executive Director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Tom Viola. This year's gala was geared toward raising funds for GTG's full production of Shaw's masterpiece, Heartbreak House, which will run in New York's Theatre Row on 42nd Street from August 28 through September 29th.

Peter Friedman has received the annual St. Clair Bayfield Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation for his performance as Polonius in The Public Theater's production of Hamlet. The announcement was made by Arne Gundersen, President of the Foundation, and Joan Glazer, Managing Director.

Today, Gelsey Kirkland Ballet announced the company will be cancelling its upcoming program, Russian Treasures, due to several injuries within the company. Russian Treasures was slated to be the third program of the company's 2016/2017 season, featuring Marius Petipa's hilarious one-act comedy Cavalry Halt, as well as pieces by Leonid Yakobson, Leonid Lavrovsky, and Kasyan Goleizovsky.

New dates have been announced for the hit Long Island based storytelling show, (MOSTLY) TRUE THINGS. Dates includes performances on March 25th, May 20th and June 17th at The Performing Arts Studio in Port Jefferson.

Primary Stages has announced the launch of OFF CENTER: THE OFF-BROADWAY ORAL HISTORY PROJECT.

The Off-Broadway Oral History Project was created to fill a gap in theater history by establishing a video archive featuring the innovative artists who transformed Off- and Off-Off-Broadway in the years after World War II.

(MOSTLY) TRUE THINGS, Long Island's first local storytelling show returns to the newly-renovated Performing Arts Studio, 224 E. Main St. in Port Jefferson, NY 11777 on Sunday January 29, 2017 at 4 pm. This show was created by Long Island-based writer/performer Jude Treder-Wolff who has been featured three times on the ground-breaking storytelling podcast RISK! and has performed at storytelling shows across Long Island and in Manhattan including The PIT and The Moth.
