NBC's next live musical is 'Hair Live!,' the original rock musical that is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Stage director Diane Paulus, the Tony Award-winning director of Broadway's 2009 Best Revival of the musical written by James Rado, Gerome Ragni and Galt MacDermot will join Emmy Award-winning Alex Rudzinski, who will serve as live television director as he did for 'Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.' 'Hair Live!' is set for broadcast on Sunday, May 19, 2019 before a live audience. Check out just-released promo art below!

A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS cast member Burgandy Williams will perform at The 2018 Emery Awards this evening - Wednesday, November 7, 2018 - at Cipriani Wall Street (55 Wall Street, NYC). Ms. Williams was a performer at last year's ceremony, singing Aretha Franklin's "Rock Steady."  She returns this year with another Queen of Soul classic - "Respect." The event will be hosted by Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (NBC's "Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert"), and also features a performance from singer We McDonald (2017 finalist on NBC's "The Voice").

The first official teaser for ALADDIN was released, a BE MORE CHILL movie was announced, and more casting for the upcoming CATS film was announced, including Dame Judi Dench as Old Deuteronomy and Idris Elba as Macavity.

FOX is announcing premiere dates for THE ORVILLE (Dec. 30), GORDON RAMSAY'S 24 HOURS TO HELL AND BACK (Jan. 2), GOTHAM (Jan. 3) and PROVEN INNOCENT (Feb. 15), as well as the all-new COSMOS installment, COSMOS: POSSIBLE WORLDS (March 3). As previously announced, new celebrity singing competition THE MASKED SINGER will premiere Jan. 2, new epic thriller THE PASSAGE will premiere Jan. 14 and all-new live musical event RENT will air Jan. 27.

The Arthur Miller Foundation's inaugural Arthur Miller Foundation Honors celebrating the power of public school arts education will be hosted by Alec Baldwin.  Event Co-Chairs include Rebecca Miller, Steven Spielberg & Kate Capshaw, Sandi Farkas, Janine & Michael Smith. Honors to take place on October 22, 2018 at City Winery in New York City. This year, the foundation will honor HBO Documentary Films with the Arthur Miller Foundation Legacy Award and Tony Kushner with the Arthur Miller Foundation Humanitarian Award. The foundation will also recognize one veteran public school teacher who has displayed excellence in theater education with the Arthur Miller Foundation Arts Education Award.

Broadway Acts for Women is the only benefit that brings the Broadway community out in force for abortion rights and reproductive health care.

American Theatre Wing Gala Honoring Andrew Lloyd Webber Raises Record-Breaking $1.6+ Million

The American Theatre Wing announced today that its annual Gala, which honored newly minted EGOT recipient Andrew Lloyd Webber last night at Cipriani 42nd Street, raised a record breaking total of $1,652,502 in support of the Wing's programs and the Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative Legacy Fund, breaking all previous records.
