La MaMa in association with the Obie award-winning Theatre Three Collaborative announce their exciting cast for new cli-fi eco-feminist fable OTHER THAN WE, written and directed by Karen Malpede. It is their first play to take place in the future and an utterly original work from Theatre Three Collaborative. Other Than We will play a two-week limited engagement at The Downstairs at La MaMa (66 E 4th St, New York, NY 10003). ADG Film Society Presents CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND

We are not alone. The Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) Film Society's 2019 Screening Series will present the Oscar -winning classic CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND (1977) and pay tribute to its Oscar-nominated Production Designer Joe Alves, ADG, at the Egyptian Theatre on Sunday, June 23 at 5:30 pm. Following the screening, Mr. Alves will explore the making of Close Encounters and behind-the-scenes challenges including creating the massive alien ships, moderated by Thomas A. Walsh, ADG, Production Designer and ADG Film Society Co-chair. The annual 2019 Screening Series Production Design: Designers On Design, highlighting the work of renowned Production Designers and their creative collaborations, is in association with American Cinematheque.

The Art Directors Guild (ADG) Film Society and the American Cinematheque are co-hosting the annual 2019 Screening Series “Production Design: Designers On Design” highlighting the work of renowned Production Designers and their creative collaborations. The monthly series will run from April through August at the Egyptian (6712 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood) with all screenings starting at 5:30 pm. Moderating the screenings are Production Designers THOMAS A. WALSH ADG, JOHN MUTOADG, and JOHN IACOVELLI ADG. The screening series is sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter. American Conservatory Theater Raises $900,000 At Its Fall Celebration

With the help of celebrated guest artists-including Oscar, Tony, and Emmy Award winner Ellen Burstyn, Tony Award winner BD Wong, and Emmy, Tony, and Golden Globe Award winner Judd Hirsch-American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) raised $900,000 at its Fall Celebration welcoming new Artistic Director Pam MacKinnon and new Executive Director Jennifer Bielstein. Proceeds from the event, which took place on Thursday, November 15 at Ken Fulk's brand-new multi-disciplinary arts space Saint Joseph's Arts Society, support A.C.T.'s diverse and far-reaching artistic, artist training, and education and community programs serving 250,000 Bay Area residents each year.

The Carney Awards announced a broadcast partnership with PIX11 in New York, the home of The Honeymooners for past 60 years. The Carney Awards, named for the late, great Oscar and six-time Emmy Award-winning actor Art Carney, star of The Honeymooners, recognize outstanding achievements in character acting and will honor Joe Morton, Jessica Walter, Joe Pantoliano, M. Emmet Walsh, James Cromwell and Bruce Greenwood. Comedian Patton Oswalt will host the evening's program which will be recorded at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, CA on Sunday, October 28, 2018. The 2-hour telecast will air on PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting's New York flagship television station, on Saturday, November 24, 2018 (8:00 PM – 10:00 PM). PIX11 will air a special marathon of The Honeymooners leading into The Carney Awards broadcast, starting at 6:00 PM.
