Rehearsals have begun for a major new production of Conor McPherson’s acclaimed 1997 play, The Weir. Directed by Abbey Theatre Artistic Director, Caitríona McLaughlin, this production will be staged at the Abbey theatre this winter.

The hugely anticipated Broadway revival of Meredith Willson’s The Music Man has just released the first production image of Tony Award winner Marie Mullen in character as Mrs. Paroo, featuring costume design by four-time Tony Award winner Santo Loquasto and Hair, Wig, and Makeup Design by Luc Verschueren for Campbell Young and Associates.

Blood in the Alley will present Samuel Beckett's iconic play Krapp's Last Tape. Beckett's play is the first Irish written one man production. It is Krapp's sixty ninth birthday and having celebrated at the local wine house he listens to a tape recording of his 39-year-old self.

The one hour virtual event will be hosted by legendary WFUV and SiriusXM radio DJ Dennis Elsas, and features exclusive performances by a diverse roster of world-class artists who have previously graced the Emelin stage including David Broza, Amy Helm, Flor de Toloache, Ballet Hispánico, Jake Shimabukuro and David Bromberg.

Pretty Proud Boy explores the pressing and timely issues of the far right, the threat of COVID-19, the impact of the Black Lives Matter movement, and how these global events have affected Irish Travellers, an indigenous ethnic minority in Ireland.

Druid has announced that audiences around the world can access a free stream of its 2020 production of The Cherry Orchard. The production forms part of Culture Ireland's SEODA festival showcasing Irish arts, which takes place online during this year's St Patrick's Day celebrations.

The Cherry Orchard will premiere online at Friday 19 March at 8pm GMT and will be available to stream for 36 hours.
