Luke Adamson's backstage tale proves both a celebration of the joy of seasonal theatre and a condemnation of the loneliness it can bring

The spring season at The Bridge House Theatre in Penge is now on sale. It features comedy, musicals, physical theatre and lots of new writing. It's a bold season that has something for everyone!

Written by Lesley Ross & James Williams, and based on the show of the same name, this quirky retelling of the famous fairytale touches on friendship, acceptance and how dangerous it is to fall under the spell of a Spider's dark web. 

The Maltings Theatre in St Albans presents THE ROMAN THEATRE OPEN AIR FESTIVAL from May 28th to July 11th with a programme of shows designed to appeal to the widest audiences. 

The Bridge House Theatre in Penge will relaunch in Summer! After seven years at the helm, Guy Retallack called time on The Bridge House Theatre in December 2020. They have announced that the theatre will reopen in the summer of 2021 under the artistic direction of Luke Adamson.

His friendships, career and love life are all tested as his week goes from bad to worse. Written by Tom Stocks and with the support of the Mental Health Foundation, Netflix & Chill is a pertinent and timely study of the effects of toxic masculinity. Suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 45 and although society has finally begun to acknowledge and address male mental health, the fast-paced social media saturated world we're a part of can be extremely debilitating to those who are fragile.

Rehearsals have begun for Ha-Hum-Ah Theatre's co-production with into Bodmin of Luke Adamson's Oh No It Isn't!. Playing at the Old Library in Bodmin from November 27th Oh No It Isn't! is a tender and hilarious love letter to the world of theatre through the eyes of two dysfunctional pantomime dames. The cast includes James Marlowe and John Gregor with direction by Ben Kernow.

One Last Waltz - a play I've written based on my personal experiences with my grandad, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease - is transferring to Greenwich Theatre. As I go back to the rehearsal room, I keep thinking about all the reasons behind this production.
