Veteran theatrical publicists Molly Barnett and Chelsea Nachman have launched grapevine public relations, a full-service boutique firm specializing in theatrical talent PR. Barnett and Nachman begin this new venture after a combined 17 years under Rick Miramontez at DKC/O&M, one of the industry's leading theatrical public relations firms, where their clients and projects have amassed more than 40 Tony, Grammy, and Drama Desk Awards, among others.

It has been reported on Twitter that Groundhog Day's leading man, Andy Karl, sustained an injury during the Friday night performance of the new musical. 

This weekend, Richard Frankel, Tom Viertel, Steve Baruch and the partners at Feinstein's/54 Below generously threw Broadway favorite, Laura Benanti, a baby shower! 

I'm a huge fan of Twitter and Broadway - and for me, as someone who doesn't live in NYC, those two go hand in hand. Using social media I've been able to stay connected with everything happening in the New York theatre community and make some great friends along the way.

Last night, Melissa Benoist and Jeremy Jordan joined a line-up of stars at Feinstein's/54 Below to celebrate "Supergirl" alum, Tony Award-winner, Laura Benanti. Benanti is currently headlining the Broadway revival of She Loves Me at Studio 54-directly upstairs from Feinstein's/54 Below-a show for which she's earned her fifth Tony Award nomination.

Parody Twitter accounts can be a lot of things. They can be sarcastic (Condescending Wonka), they can make you think (Bored Elon Musk), they can be utterly ridiculous (not the real Bill Murray). The theatre community's favorite parody account, Annoying Actor Friend, has been all of those things at different times during its nearly three and a half year existence. The one constant for the character, whether it was brazenly flirting with the official SMASH account, championing causes important to theatre actors and fans, or shamelessly plugging its concerts and books, has been its anonymity. That is of course until yesterday when the account, followed by over 20,000 people, innocuously retweeted a link from a seemingly random blog by Andrew Briedis.

On Sunday, November 15th, beloved Tony-winner Laura Benanti married Patrick Brown in a beautiful ceremony at Harlem's Riverside Church.
