The Menier Chocolate Factory has released all new rehearsal photos for their co-production with the Umeda Arts Theater of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Pacific Overtures.

Due to overwhelming demand, 24-hours after tickets went on priority pre-sale and before the box office opens for general on-sale, Andrew Lloyd Webber's STARLIGHT EXPRESS has extended bookings through to February 2025.

Ticket holders will be able to sit in 'Trackside Seats' around the “racing track”, or behind the performance space. The seats that surround the main performance area, in a section called the '1st Class Carriage' will also move during show.

Jack Butterworth, who dazzled as Bobby van Husen in ‘The Boy Friend’ at The Menier Chocolate Factory will star as Jerry Travers in ‘Top Hat’, The Mill at Sonning’s now legendary annual Christmas musical.

Made famous by the 1935 film featuring the legendary Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Top Hat is a nostalgic and light-hearted piece of escapism now playing at The Mill at Sonning. The story follows Jerry Travers, a Broadway star in his prime, who travels to England and falls for the society beauty Dale Tremont. Dale is not initially taken with him, but with a little charm, Jerry gets his girl. However, it is less than plain sailing after Dale mistakes him for Jerry's own manager Horace Hardwick, who is married to her friend, and subsequent mayhem ensues.

Tracing Movement ran two Reboot projects at Jerwood Space, London - one in October 2020 and the second in May 2021. The projects offered free daily class for over 150 freelance professional dancers to help rebuild, train and maintain their skills following the extended break caused by the pandemic, assisting their return to performance condition in advance of theatres reopening.

This 2011 musical based on the 1935 film of the same name, tells the story of Broadway sensation Jerry Travers who dances his way across Europe to win the heart of society girl Dale Tremont. With an uplifting and entertaining script, this show celebrates 1930s song, style and romance. Underpinning every scene are Irving Berlin's magnificent songs including ;Puttin' on the Ritz', 'Cheek to Cheek', 'Isn't This A Lovely Day', and of course, 'Top Hat, White Tie & Tails'

Tracing Movement, founded and led by choreographer Stuart Winter, today announces Tracing Movement ReBoot, a three-week programme offering support and development to freelance professional dancers and those recently graduated who are not currently able to train or perform due to restrictions caused by Covid-19.
