In this immersive, Sleep No More-inspired comedy, audience members are given hard hats, flash lights, and time cards as they enter the underground theater. After a smoke machine-fuelled mine collapse, the audience (the mining crew) explores the dark theater with the actors, dispersing into separate rooms to look for supplies, write letters to their families, drink their sorrows away at the bar, and any number of things people do while trapped half a mile underground. As the days pass and rescue fails to materialize, the miners slowly descend into madness, prompting an open mic night, a Judge Judy-esque courtroom drama, a prom, ect). Just when it looks like things can't get any worse for the brave crew, the devil himself shows up with a devious proposal to tempt the miners into turning on one another. The climax is cathartic and just like the historic Chilean mine collapse, everyone gets home alive. No two shows are the same, and no two audience members have the same experience. Put on a helmet and find out for yourself what it means to be trapped deep down in the deepest, downest part of the dark. 50% international crisis, 50% haunted house, 100% comedy.
