A journey of lust, love, honour and betrayal, Arthur Miller's A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE charts the events of two immigrant cousins moving from Sicily into the Carbone household where Eddie, a long shoresman, his wife Beatrice and their niece Catherine live as a family unit. Eddie, unhappily married to Beatrice and unconsciously in love with Catherine, the niece that they have raised from childhood, becomes tormented when Catherine falls in love with one of the immigrants, Rudolpho. Eddie, unable to admit even to himself his inappropriate love for Catherine, desperately reports the illegal immigrants to the authorities.
