After two sold-out performances at Joe's Pub this past year, theatrical singer, songwriter, actor, writer, model, dancer, and DJ Kenyon Phillips has announced that his 90-minute autobiographical rock opera, The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips, will play a strictly limited engagement at The Box (189 Chrystie St., New York, NY 10002) on February 20th and 28th, and March 7th and 13th. Doors are at 7:30 pm, and all performances will run from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

This four-night engagement promises audiences new and old an intimate evening at the theatre unlike anything they've ever seen before. The Felliniesque production will feature all of the songs that fans of the Joe's Pub performances have come to know, and a few that have never been performed in front of an audience. Mr. Phillips expressed excitement at the opportunity to stage his show at The Box, stating: "Now the show can really let its freak flag fly. Certain elements that I had to cut from the earlier versions at Joe's Pub - like aerialists and tightrope walkers - can now be realized. And the new ending will have audience members up on their feet and singing."

Tickets for this special limited engagement will go on sale January 26th, 2015, and will be available for purchase online at http://lifeanddeath.brownpapertickets.com or by calling 1-800-838-3006.

The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips is a 90-minute rock opera that uses an interactive cabaret-variety show format - complete with burlesquers, aerialists, and other circus acts - to explore the past, present and future of downtown performance artist Kenyon Phillips. Kenyon says his inspiration for the project came from a desire "to take the traditional one-man show idea of 'here's my life story,' and throw a grenade in it."
