PiPE DREAM theatre presents Columbia: the life and death of Rospo D. Oro, a new steampunk fairytale musical for adults with book and music by Collin Simon, lyrics by Liz Muller. Sixteen performances will be held at The Beckett Theatre on Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036 from January 9-25, 2014.

Columbia: the life and death of Rospo D. Oro is a heart-warming, adult fairytale musical following Rospo's wild ride down his self destructive path. In pursuit of faster vehicles in order to chase his destiny and outrun his past, Rospo's reckless behavior continually affects and forever changes the lives of the colorful characters of The Wild Woods. Join the high-speed journey and enter a complex, magical world - a perilous place filled with addiction, murderers, unseen dangers, and a child god with powers beyond their imaginations. Columbia is inspired by the Kenneth Grahame's novel "The Wind in the Willows."

Liz Muller directs a cast of 20 including Alex Parish, Liz Muller, Adam du Plessis, Amanda Teneriello, Melinda Ehrlich, Megan Rose Margiotti, Kevin Hurley, Laurrice Monnae, Cait Murphy, Michael T. Kopplin, Kim Ceccotti, Jenn Aviles, Jillian Moran, Aileen Lanni, Anthony Massa, and Kelsey Sullivan with others to be announced shortly.

Collin Simon (Composer/Producer/Graphic Design) began writing for community theaters when he was 13, composed the music for his first documentary when he was 16, and his first film when he was 18. By the time Collin was 20, he worked in a professional theater in California arranging, performing, and composing original musicals. After moving to New York in 2005 he and Liz Muller began working on several theater projects together. Eventually they began writing one-act musicals; The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and The Masque of the Red Death, and full length original musicals; Briar Rose, Macbeth A Musical, 3 Ghosts, The Nutcracker and The Mouse King, and Columbia - the life and death of Rospo D. Oro, all of which Collin wrote the music and co-wrote the books for. Collin has written music for plays, films, nationally aired commercials, and has also done arrangements for various other music projects. He continues to write underscoring for PiPE DREAM shows as well as arranging songs for their Shakespeare productions such as A Midsummer Night's Dream and Twelfth Night.
