The Hive Theatre Company is pleased to present The Hive Exposed Series; staged readings of new and underexposed plays.  The third in this series is a benefit staged reading of Duncan Pflaster's THE EMPRESS OF SEX at the Midtown Theatre at the HA! Comedy Club on Monday, January 24th at 8pm.   Doors open at 7pm.

The Hive Theatre Company is pleased to have such distinguished actors for this benefit staged reading including Will Taylor (Broadway: A Chorus Line,  La Cage Aux Folles, The Producers, and 42nd Street) and Rosebud Baker (The Sundance Channel's "Girls Who Like Boys*Who Like Boys")

THE EMPRESS OF SEX is an erotic romantic comedy filled to bursting with nudity, cross-dressing, amore, and you guessed it...sex.

The play is about a woman, spurned by love, who finds a deserted island and sets herself up as The Empress Salacia, decreeing that there shall be no love allowed in her domain, only sex. She gathers some sybaritic acolytes, and all is frolicsome mindless fun until Salacia's ex-lover, Agis, comes to the island in disguise, to attempt to win her back.

Admission is FREE and tickets will be distributed at the door on the evening of the performance on a first come, first served basis. Donations will be accepted.  All proceeds are to benefit the Hive
Theatre Company's mission to foster the creative growth of new and underexposed playwrights.
