The Triad Theatre (158 W. 72nd Street) will host Bawdy!, a raucous evening of Burlesque, Variety, Drag, and knock-your-socks-off production numbers. Hosted by the fishnet clad baritone Jesse Luttrell, Bawdy! will be held on October 1st from 9:00pm-10:30pm. Special guests include Poor Baby Bree, Poppi Kramer, and the devilish Bawdy Dancers, plus the burlesque talents of Layla Lepore, Jewel Reebox, Krystal Charms, Ria Rhinestone and Erin Gellgems.


      
Tickets cost $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door. There is a 2 drink minimum at The Triad (cash only bar). Proceeds benefit Marriage Equality NY.

Performing as "Poor Baby Bree," Bree Benton draws on vaudeville and parlor music traditions, incorporating songs and recitations from the 19th century through the 1930s. Her first one-woman show, Weary River, was presented at Don't Tell Mama in 2007-8; her second, I Am Going to Run Away, debuted last March. She has received a Bistro award from Back Stage, a Nightlife award nomination, and a place on Time Out New York critic Adam Feldman's cabaret Top Ten for 2008; she was also the recipient of the magazine's annual special achievement award in 2009. "Poor Baby Bree" has also performed at BAM (in "Laurie & Friends," an evening curated by Laurie Anderson), in the God's Love Will Deliver benefit Folly, and Kenny Melman and Bridget Everett's Our Hit Parade at Joe's Pub. Out of character, Bree recently appeared alongside Julie Halston and Sweetie "as" Susan Strasberg in Tweed Productions' Pic-Up (based on William Inge's Picnic). Poppi Kramer can be found anywhere a living breathing human being will listen. She has been spreading her seeds of hilarity all over the the country after finding out that an MFA in acting can only wield a bartending job. You can see Poppi at "Suddenly Stand-Up" every Wednesday at The Duplex. The show features Poppi as the creator, MC, producer, and booker. You can also find Poppi's naked ass in the indie feature "Dummy" starring Adrien Brody (her face is in it as well) and in the Upcoming feature, "Slippery Slope." you may know her best from her infamous win as the "at home winner" of nbc's "the biggest loser" season 3. she will also be on the upcoming season of "bartender wars" on the fine living network this fall. Jesse Luttrell is a critically acclaimed performer; having appeared all over the country in touring shows, musical theatre, concerts, and cabaret engagements. His energy filled live performances have earned him national acclaim as a gifted young song-and-dance-man , and his skillful story-centric style of singing is reminiscent of the cabaret and nightclub acts dating back to the American birth of vaudeville.

On stage Jesse has appeared most recently in  Cabaret (Emcee), The Rocky Horror Show (Frank-n-Furter), and Cats (Munkustrap and Rum-Tum-Tugger);  all to unanimous glowing reviews.  His other theatrical credits include Anything Goes, Joseph, Evita, 42nd Street, Annie Get Your Gun, Carousel, Meet Me In St. Louis, Oklahoma, and West Side Story; among others.
