Fifteen years ago, the infamous New Jersey water park Action Park was closed down and renamed. Too dangerous, they said. Then, Magnet Sketch Team Action Park named themselves after it, and suddenly Action Park itself is back in action. Whether just a coincidence or a direct challenge, sketch team Action Park is wrapping up the summer by taking New York to Action Park.

The team creates a full hour of theme-park-themed sketch comedy and a full park experience that starts in the lobby and includes a real splash zone in the theater's front row. Will teenage park employees find their true love this summer? Will the waterslides give us all wedgies...that bring us to nirvana? Will all of the children please stay with their travel buddies? Step up to the splash zone and find out in this high-energy hour of sketch comedy from Action Park's multi-talented writer-performers.

The Magnet Theater is an improv and sketch comedy theater and training center in New York City. Audiences come to Magnet for quality comedy shows; the theater is consistently recommended by critics, tourists, locals, comedy snobs, and people looking for a great cheap date. Mainstage shows feature talented and exceptionally funny sketch comedians and improvisers doing some of the best comedy you'll see anywhere. The performance schedule is loaded with shows ranging from sketch to long form improv, musical improv, and storytelling. There are multiple opportunities to stage new work and free improv and sketch comedy jams open to anyone. Plus, free student performances take place all weekend at the Training Center Studio (one block North of the Mainstage). For more information, visit magnettheater.com.
