The annual migration North is happening a little earlier this year as South Florida returns to New York in Flamingo Court. Written by Luigi Creatore and directed by directed by Steven Yuhasz, Flamingo Court will play at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) beginning April 18 through September 6, 2009. Ten characters, five actors, life in three condos, Flamingo Court follows the nosy and endearing
residents of Flamingo Court, a South Florida apartment complex. Each apartment reveals a new story and a new lesson: Sex lives after sixty. Where there's a will, there's a relative. And love heals all wounds...at any age.

The critics are raving about Flamingo Court with John Simon of Bloomberg calling the show "a wall-to-wall hoot for old and young alike. The audience laughed up a Florida-worthy hurricane!" The Associated Press says the show has "License to kill with laughter. You'll be in heaven with this trio of vignettes written by Luigi Creatore." The New York Times praised "Flamingo Court knows its prime audience -the AARP crowd - and plays to it skillfully."

Presented by Theatre 21 and Carolyn Rossi Copeland, Flamingo Court cast includes: Alex Bond ("SNL", "All My Children"), Diane J. Findlay (Stanley,Top Girls), Tim Jerome (Tarzan, La Bohème, Beauty and the Beast, Lost in Yonkers, Grand Hotel, The Phantom of the Opera , Me and My Girl, Cats), Lucy Martin (The Constant Wife, Hollywood Arms, Joe Egg, The Sisters Rosensweig, Noises Off), Herb Rubens (45 Seconds from Broadway, Band in Berlin, Requiem for a Heavyweight, and Gordon Stanley (Cabaret, Ragtime, Beauty and the Beast, Meet Me in St. Louis, Teddy & Alice, Into the Light, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Onward Victoria) The scenic design is by Steven Capone; lighting design by Herrick Goldman; costume design by Carol Sherry; and sound design by David Arnold.
