Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) presents Dead Man's Cell Phone by Sarah Ruhl in weekend performances March 21 - April 13, 2014.

Jean's quiet, solitary lunch is interrupted by the continued ringing of a nearby diner's cell phone. In an unusual fit of boldness, she approaches him -- only to find he died over his bowl of soup. She decides to answer the phone, which begins an oddly intimate relationship with the dead man -- and her own personal odyssey of bizarre twists and surreal comedy. Winner of the Helen Hayes Award for Best New Play of the Year. "...this play is more than a little eccentric...plaintive, edgy and full-out loony." CHICAGO SUN TIMES

Jamil Jude directs a cast featuring Colleen Somerville Leeman as Jean, with Charles Numrich, Andrew Troth, Anna Olson, Jan Arford, and Jessica Brooks. Sets are designed by Sadie Ward, costume design by Brandi Mans, and lighting by Courtney Schmitz.

An audience discussion with members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, April 6th.

Tickets are $22. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.
