The Playhouse Children's Theatre will present SCHOOL OF ROCK, with book by Julian Fellowes, lyrics by Glenn Slater and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, running October 20-30, 2016.

Dudes and dudettes, prepare to pledge allegiance to the band after seeing School of Rock: Youth Production at the Duluth Playhouse, based on the hit Paramount movie starring Jack Black and featuring the musical genius of Andrew Lloyd Webber!

Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star, decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep schooL. Dewey decides to create his own curriculum, turning his class into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. School of Rock is a loving testimony to the transformational power of music. May the spirit of rock be with you!

School of Rock: The Musical is a brand-new musical produced on Broadway by Andrew Lloyd Webber, who composed 14 songs to create the score, which also features all of the original songs from the movie. This Playhouse Children's Theatre production also marks a regional premiere.

Bring even more epic-ness into the classroom by having the kids see the show dressed in their Halloween best; there's a costume contest at intermission of every show!

Note: Due to the running time of School of Rock, we have moved the 4pm performances on October 22 and October 29 to 7pm. If 7pm works for you, no action is required on your part. Your tickets will be at the box office. If you'd like to switch to another performance/date entirely, call our box office at 218.733.7555. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
