Main Street Players Presents the World Premiere of

For the Love of Money

The Main Street Players announced the world premiere of For the Love of Money, a one-man show by Daniel Nieves, showing December 2, 3, and 4 at the Main Street Playhouse in Miami Lakes. For the Love of Money follows the rise of Charles "Lucky" Luciano, one of America's most infamous crime bosses, from his childhood in the hills of Sicily, through his rise to become one of the most powerful organized crime lords in the world, and ending in his imprisonment and eventual exile.

Luciano was one of the most powerful and dangerous men in America: an illiterate genius, a master of organization, and a leader of men. He rose to the top of America's underworld with ruthlessness and cunning, becoming the multimillionaire King of New York. For the Love of Money is the story of a man who had the world in his hands and had it ripped from him, only to find that losing everything afforded him the one thing he never had: love.

Daniel Nieves is a recent graduate of the Florida International University theatre program, and was most recently seen in the Main Street Player's production of Extremities and the Miami Acting Company's production of No Exit.

For the Love of Money performs December 2 and 3, 2011, at 8:00 pm, and December 4, 2011, at 5:00 pm. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door (cash only), or may be purchased online at www.mainstreetplayers.com.
