Loring Theater and The Producing House announced today a fundraiser and launch event for Minnesotans United for All Families, a campaign that aims to defeat the ballot question asking voters to change the Minnesota Constitution to ban same-sex marriage.

With guest speaker Senator Scott Dibble and performances from regional artists including Bradley Greenwald, Belladiva, George Mauer, Anne Michaels and Flying Foot Forum. The event, which will take place at the 440 seat historic Loring Theater on Monday June 20th at 7.30pm, is slated to be hosted by Minnesota actress and personality Stacia Rice.

Minnesotans United for All Families will be a large coalition campaign, with OutFront Minnesota and Project 515 taking the lead. The campaign was launched just minutes after the Minnesota House of Representatives voted to place this question on the 2012 ballot.

Campaign leader Donald McFarland commented:
"We're really just a few weeks old but already we have signed up hundreds of volunteers and have begun raising money. We know this is a marathon, not a sprint, but we are already talking to Minnesota voters across the state."

All proceeds from the event go towards the Minnesotans United for All Families Campaign.
