Justin Guarini returns to Landmark on Main Street's Jeanne Rimsky Theater on Friday, March 2nd at 8 PM with his Band to perform his show From American Idol to Broadway and Beyond. This concert is the second of Landmark's Reality Rocks shows (Dancing with the Stars' Mark Ballas performed in January) and Landmark thanks sponsor Einsidler Management for their support. Landmark thanks our 2011-2012 Season Sponsor Pall Corporation and our Partners in Performing Arts: Bank of America, Harding Real Estate, Town of North Hempstead and NYS Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel for their season support.

As American Idol's Season One runner-up (he placed second to winner Kelly Clarkson) Justin Guarini's career began with greater national recognition than he could have dreamed possible. Last year, his career took a new direction when he starred back-to-back in two Broadway Musicals: Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and American Idiot. His latest theater project is to star in a fascinating and "chilling" new musical called The Ghost Brothers of Darkland County working with an incredible line-up of masterminds: music and lyrics by John Mellencamp, book by Stephen King and musical direction by T Bone Burnett.

Guarini grew up with a foot in the entertainment business (his mom was an early CNN reporter; his dad a politician; his second cousin is Samuel L. Jackson; after his parents divorced, his father dated Gladys Knight), so taking the path to a career in the entertainment industry was always clear in his mind. He chose the right road when he was offered a part in Broadway's The Lion King the same week he was to leave for Hollywood for the then-unknown entity called American Idol. His Landmark concert will celebrate his journey with songs from the pop, rock and Broadway worlds.

Tickets: $35 Premium; $30 Standard (discounts for Friends of Landmark) and are available at www.landmarkonmainstreet.org or via the box office 516-767-6444.
