Columbus Children's Theatre (CCT) is proud to announce their partnership with The Columbus Moving Company (CMCo) for the May 2016 production of CATS. Director Ryan Scarlata, who also serves as Associate Artist Director for CCT, will be collaborating with CMCo Director Jeff Fouch to create exceptional dance for the show.

"I am particularly excited about this production of CATS due to the partnership with CMCo." Says Scarlata. "Jeff's choreography is brilliant. He terrifically creates movement with vivid subtext - you can see the story in the dancing. I believe CATS is a unique mashup of musical theatre, ballet, and opera. It is exhilarating to combine these art forms for this production."

Fouch has been a guest instructor in CCT's weekly Drop-In Dance class for 2 sessions, guiding students in not only technique but also the general mindset of dancing for this iconic musical. Additionally, CCT intends to make this production of CATS unique by accommodating youth as well as adult actors into the traditionally all-adult cast along with incorporating several surprises on set and in the overall presentation. The show will also take place in The Lincoln Theatre, a larger venue that can house the large scale features of the show.

Auditions for CATS are open to all actors ages 13 years and older and are January 24 starting at 6 p.m. and January 25 starting at 7 p.m. at the Park Street Theatre, 512 Park St, Columbus OH 43215. More information about auditions or to register for the audition workshop, visit www.columbuschildrenstheatre.org/auditions.
