Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon Proclaims 3/28-4/6 'FUN WITH STEM Week'

Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon will proclaim the week of March 28 to April 6 as FUN WITH STEM Week. Cory the Clown, star of FUN WITH STEM and Cory's Learning Corner on PBS member stations and the creator of Fun with STEM, will accept the proclamation alongside, Learn with Laughter, producer Linda Ann Watt, at the City Council meeting on Monday, March 24.

In a press release from Mayor Cannon, the proclamation was announced "in recognition of this important unique learning experience."

FUN WITH STEM features a spectacular, multimedia blend of live action, magic, comedy, robotic puppets, live music, juggling and unicycling, and makes its stage debut March 28 - April 6 in Booth Playhouse at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. FUN WITH STEM features Cory the Clown.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineer and Math. This interactive, multi-media, live show engages children, piquing their imagination. With a colorful set and circus theme, Cory the Clown creates curiosity, entertains and educates using comedy, robotic puppets, magic and a family-friendly storyline. Cory and the Circus Gang performers amuse the audience with comedy routines and makes learning fun. The Musical Director, Vlado Kolenic and Ragtime Pianist, Ethan Uslan accompany the performance and the Drummer, Ocie Davis highlights the action. This family friendly show's theme includes the many definitions of the word 'STEM'.
