Just in, Sydney Morton has joined the cast of DUETS with thewriteteachers.com Volume 5 - April 22nd at Feinstein's/54 Below.

Sydney Morton grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and went on to graduate from the University of Michigan with a BFA in Musical Theater. After moving to New York, Sydney was in the Original Broadway Casts of MEMPHIS, EVITA, MOTOWN, and AMERICAN PSYCHO. She has also performed in the Chicago company of JERSEY BOYS, starred in HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME playing "Esmeralda" at Ogunquit Playhouse (New England regional premier), was "Gabriella" in HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL at Paper Mill Playhouse, starred in FLASHDANCE on tour as "Alex Owens," and has performed in two shows with Encores! at City Center: WILD PARTY and CABIN IN THE SKY. You can see her in various TV and Film appearances, including NBC's THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE, THE INTERN starring Robert De Niro and Ann Hathaway, the hit Netflix series JESSICA JONES, indie films SERVICE TO MAN, LOVE, NEW YORK and EMOTICON;), and numerous commercials. She will be appearing as "Cheryl Overstreet" in five episodes of the new Spike Lee series on Netflix, SHE'S GOTTA HAVE IT. The show premiers later this year.

In addition to her performing career, Sydney writes and directs comedy videos, many of which can be viewed on sydneymorton.com. She currently resides in Manhattan and enjoys reading, yoga, food, and cuddling with her dog, George Balanchine (and fiancé, Preston).

Conceived and produced by Megan Minutillo (in association with thewriteteachers.com), with music direction by Dan Mertzlufft, the evening will feature music from across the musical theatre canon, pairing one Broadway hopeful with one performing arts professional who has inspired them in their show business career.

Sydney Morton will join Shaunice Alexander, Haley Boyd, Siri Howard (Les Miserables, The Sound of Music) Stephanie Turci, and Natalie Vero onstage, with additional casting soon to be announced!

Tickets are $25 - $35, and an additional $5 if purchased at the door. There is a $25 food and beverage minimum. Feinstein's/54 Below is located at 254 West 54th Street, tickets and additional information can be found here.
